Archery has always been a part of my life and I have always enjoyed it. I picked up my first bow when I was 8 years old. As I got older, I developed the responsibility of operating better and more serious bows. My interest grew and I trained harder and harder each day until I joined my first competitive tournament when I was 16 years old.

            I was initially taught by my father.  During my first tournament in 2000, I worked extra hard on my shooting and studied everything. In 2002, I was National Champion of the Philippines. Soon after, my father and I went to the US to train under George Chapman, a former US Team Coach. My training in the US had opened my eyes to the lack of adequate coaching that was available to our youth. I had learned that I had developed target panic and was a result of doing the wrong things from the beginning. I had to undo much of my learning and rebuild my shooting foundations from scratch. After 3 years of consistent practice and determination, I re-joined the National Team and won Silver in the 2005 South East Asian Games. This started my whole career as a compound Archer.

            Today, I manage the #1 Archery shop and training facility in the Philippines. I have trained students that have won Medals in the SEA Games, US Nationals, Philippine National Outdoor Open and Philippine National Indoor Open.  My goal is to give back to my community by teaching Archery responsibly and with the highest quality and hope one day the next generation does the same.
